Saturday, April 20 is Record Store Day, one of the greatest holidays of all time. On this day, independently owned record stores come together to celebrate and promote the record store. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances. WRIR will curate a full day of band performances and DJs spinning at Plan 9, Deep Groove, Steady Sounds, Vinyl Conflict and Turnstyle.

There will also be a WRIR Record Store Day Scavenger Hunt and a chance to win store specific prize packs. Winner of the scavenger hunt will be rewarded with an exclusive RSD release from each record store (5 records total), a copy of Live at WRIR Vol. 1, concert tickets and other WRIR swag. 2nd and 3rd place will also get some WRIR goodies. To win, just visit the WRIR DJs at each record store for a clue, get all 5 clues and take all 5 photos, and take them to WRIR studios.
