A Roman Holiday and Hot Lava at Strange Matter

romanholidayOn Saturday, July 6, Richmond indie rock band A Roman Holiday is reuniting and playing at Strange Matter.

A Roman Holiday was an indie rock band from Richmond in the early 2000’s that “stole riffs from Pavement, David Bowie, Radiohead and was infamous for their cover of the Queen/Bowie hit ‘Under Pressure’ and Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’ in the basements of Catherine Nottingham’s properties.” Due to the recent release of “Death by Roman Holiday,” the band felt it only made since to resurrect itself.

Joining them will be the resurrection of Hot Lava, who are working on new material for a new album called “Ice Land,” Black Taxi and First Creature.
