On September 28, take a bus ride around Richmond with WRIR Presents: A Richmond Musical History Tour and learn some great music information brought to you by the good folks at WRIR.
Join Richmond music historian Gregg Kimball, Don Harrison and their able WRIR assistants as they take you on a two hour journey through your city’s music history. Covering 150+ years of Richmond’s music history, it is sure to be an unforgettable experience. On Saturday, September 28th, there will be two bus tours that will meet at Banditos, one starting at 11AM, the other at 3:00PM. The tour begins with a multimedia overview of Richmond musical history from the turn of the century through the war years, then the bus journey proceeds to landmarks where musical history was made. This year’s tour includes stops highlighting Richmond’s gospel and jazz music scene. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at WRIR’s web site, http://www.wrir.org.
