Monday Music Roundup

Here’s a bunch of local music to get your day started,

Originially from Richmond and now calling Brooklyn home, Jargon Party, the musical project of Zach Lewis, is recording his new album on an island off of Portland, Maine. Check out songs from his recently released, self-titled debut album.

After a productive 2013 year, freshman, Christopher Lakes releases his debut 2014 single “Gods Grace” in preparation of the highly anticipated Dark Wave movement.

According to Black Hand Path, they don’t really sound like other music coming out of Richmond. I have to admit that it’s true. I haven’t heard anything like these guys in a while.

Synth pop group TokyoPro has released a 5-song EP with Synthpop, Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Downtempo and Bass music influences. Very interesting stuff coming from this group.

Don Babylon‘s new EP “Shank” was recorded at Etching Tin Studios in downtown Richmond and the group has played many energetic house shows around the VCU campus since forming this past October.
