Richmond Bluegrass Jam Gives You 12 Hours of Bluegrass

bluegrassNeed a bluegrass fix? How about a 12 hour fix? That’s what’s on tap for the Richmond Bluegrass Marathon Jam at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Saturday, Feb. 22. The event features performances all day from top regional bands including (deep breath) Copper Ridge, Cary Street Ramblers, East of Afton, Some Assembly Required, Highway 249, Old Dog New Tricks, Notch 8, Willis River, Jackass Flats, Slack Family Band, River City Band, Rattlesnake Creek, Red Light Rodeo, Some Assembly Required, Heavy Duty Bluegrass, the Green Boys, Red Light Rodeo, Creekside Pickers, Hometowne, and Scattered, Smothered and Covered (and probably others that I’m forgetting).

The event benefits the Fisher House at McGuire Veteran’s Medical Center, a home for families of veterans receiving medical care.
