Chance Fischer is back with a new song entitled “SHINYTHINGS,” which was recently used as the title track for the independent film “TROOP491.” The song, which Fischer says was “born out of frustration,” was produced by AK, who has worked with Chris Webby, Niykee Heaton and others.
“The record reflects the ills of the city, the lust for opulence, and the need for redemption that plagues communities. Though this song speaks to Richmond, VA specifically, it speaks to national urban decay and the lack of access available to these areas. The most poignant message of this song, however, is in order to affect change you have to be able to relate to those that need to change. For necessary dialogues to occur you can’t talk at people, you must speak with people.”
