GlobeHopper Coffeehouse & Lounge is celebrating six years of serving great coffee to Richmond with an album release party from cornetist, guitarist, composer and trumpet player Paul Watson on Thursday, Feb. 27. Watson is known for his work in Sparklehorse, Orthotonics, FSK, Patrick Phelan and And The Wireman.
“We’re so excited about this milestone and we’re overjoyed that Paul Watson will be joining us to celebrate the occasion,” said GlobeHopper general manager Kimmy Certa in a statement. “We’re very lucky. While many businesses in our area have come and gone, we have survived and thrived. This is due in no small part to our talented staff, dedicated customers and supportive community. Getting to this point has been a team effort, and I can’t wait to celebrate it!”
GlobeHopper, located at 2100 East Main Street, opened in 2008 with a mission to stress the three C’s – Coffee, Culture and Community. There’s also a fourth “C” if you count the mix CD locker exchange located in the back.
