Tuesday night’s grand opening of Richmond new mid-sized music venue The Broadberry was a huge success. The venue was beautiful, all the bands sounded amazing (I had to go back to work in between sets, so I completely missed Black Girls set, but I heard it was one of their best shows ever), the staff was attentive and everyone seemed to have a good time. The best part about the new venue is you can be up at the stage and deal with the crowds or you can stand in the back and still hear the band clearly and have a conversation with someone without screaming.
The Broadberry is off to a great start. Can’t wait to see what else they have planned.
The second night of the Broadberry’s grand opening is on Saturday, April 19 with the Silo Effect, the Polychrons and the Former Champions. Get tickets here.
