Flight of Salt Hosts New Show Series at the Camel

flightofsaltAfter releasing a phenomenal new EP last year, rock band Flight of Salt is hosting a new show series at the Camel.

Every first Tuesday this summer, the group will play a free show and have an opener that they say is shamelessly drawn from the Hackensaw Boys’ past.

The first show – Tuesday, June 3 – will feature David Sickmen (songwriter and guitarist/singer for Hackensaw Boys) doing his “heartfelt, songs-you-can’t-get-out-of-your-head thing.”

July 1 will feature Hackensaw Boys’ Ward Harrison (who was also in such bands at Los Ramones, Heath Haynes and the Crying Shames, The Luminaires and Van Heusen) doing his “honky tonk troubadour thing.”

August 5 brings Jim Waive (of Charlottesville’s Young Divorcees) to the opening slot doing his Appalachia meets Austin style of thing.
