Monday Music Roundup – Sept. 15

griffThe members of pop trio Griff’s Room Band met and started playing together at William & Mary, but have now relocated to Richmond. In June, the band released an EP, called “Shut The Case,” which references them dodging security while busking the streets of Colonial Williamsburg.

Griff’s Room Band will be playing at the Camel a number of times in the coming weeks. First up is on Sept. 18 with the Little War Twins and Lili and the Dirty Moccasins.


Singer/songwriter Unïx has decided to put his spin on Beyoncé’s “Superpower” by releasing his own cover and video.

Upcoming RVA hip hop artist DAN just released his first single called “Forever Faded,” the first of many songs to be released.

motelfireMotel Fire sounds somewhere between garage rock, punk blues and progressive rock. The band’s first album “1515” was recently released with a party at The National.

Motel Fire will be playing a free show at the Sweet Frog Courtyard on VCU campus on Wednesday, Sept. 17 and are performing at Strange Matter on Tuesday, Sept. 30 with Big Mama Shakes and No Outlet.
