Baltimore psychedelic rock’n’roll band Darsombra will be hitting Strange Matter on Friday, February 13 with Bassoon, Caves Caverns, Among the Rocks and Roots, Coteries, and Brown Piss.
The show will be part of Dasombra’s 3-Legged Monster Tour of 2015, where they hope to more than 100 shows all around the United States (and maybe Canada, too). After a 60-date tour last spring all around the United States, they tallied the places they wanted to visit again, as well as new ones, and it was well over 100 cities. The Three-Legged Monster Tour will split those dates into three tours this year.
Transcendental audio/visual rock duo Darsombra have packed and prepared their space shuttle for launch, readying themselves for journey to inner space. Brian Daniloski (a veteran of metal bands Meatjack and Trephine), pilots, navigates, and controls the sound of Darsombra, alternating between searing guitar riffs, leads, loops, mammoth vocal swells, and soundscapes. He takes one part metal, one part psychedelic rock, one part experimental, and dashes of prog, glam, and krautrock, to soundtrack the voyage. Filmmaker Ann Everton co-pilots, accompanying him on synthesizer, gong, and vocals, as well as projecting her kinetic, psychotropic videos specifically composed to Daniloski’s music, engulfing the audience within the trip.
