The Local Strangers Return to Richmond for An Intimate Night of Music

IMG_0327Seattle indie-folk duo The Local Strangers stopped by a friend’s living room Sunday night for a special concert with friends.

Aubrey Zoli and Matt Hart are doing a tour around the US and are stopping in living rooms along the way. They played a bunch of songs from their new album “Take What You Can Carry,” a two-disc set with 11 new songs recorded in two distinct formats: in the studio with their dynamic band as well as live in Seattle as an acoustic duo. They shared stories of the road, finding out their songs were featured in reality shows about the Amish and did an amazing covers of Don Henley’s “The Boys of Summer” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” The best part of these shows is the small interactive gathering where it feels like you’re just hanging with cool musicians.

Hopefully we can get them back in a more public setting because everybody needs to hear them.
