Spring into RVAlt-Country Spectacular at Cary Street Cafe

RVAltSaturday, April 25, Cary Street Cafe brings in three acts to its stage for the Spring into RVAlt Country Spectacular.

The Mag Bats – Many outside Richmond know Wes Freed primarily as the vision behind the Drive by Truckers’ album art. His current band, The Mag Bats (which includes members of local favorites The Slack Family), brings the hosue down with its alt-country rock.

Flight of Salt – Rob Bullington’s post-Hackensaw Boys rock band recently headlined the RVA Earth Day Festival in Manchester. Expect big vocal harmonies, expert song craft and Americana-infused passages of lasting glory.

Alison Self & Ward Harrison – She sings like a honky-punk-tonk angel and he’s cute…or, maybe it’s the other way around? Either way, when they get together, these classic country purveyors leave no eyes dry and no shit unkicked (or, maybe it’s the other way around?)

Music starts at 9:30pm and admission is free!
