RVA Playlist 5th Anniversary Party Wrap Up: A Thank You to Everyone

Well, that was one hell of a party.

There’s way too many people to thank for making the RVA Playlist 5th Anniversary Party a total success. I cannot even begin to thank all of you who came out last night. Every year I’m surprised by the turnout, but this year was something else. The place was packed with so many people enjoying music and I couldn’t have asked for a better crowd.

I’ve been covering Richmond’s music scene for five years and in those five years, I’ve been introduced to some of the best music to come out of any city. When I started RVA Playlist, I thought it would just be a place to share music I liked. I never thought it would turn into an outlet for Richmond music to shine. I wouldn’t have been celebrating with you if not for your support.

Major thanks go out to the Broadberry for hosting the event and being one of the best music venues in Richmond.

Thank you to Chris Payne, Well Done Creative and the Richmond Scene for all the support on the event and the Anniversary Compilation CD (Big thanks to Triple Stamp Press and Revolve for the production on that). I hope everyone who got a copy will enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

And lastly, I’d like to thank all of you who read RVA Playlist, those who retweeted links, those spammed friends on Facebook, those who sent me messages about how excited you were, those who harassed friends into showing up, those who came to the party even though they could have been doing something else that evening. It seriously meant the world to me.
