The soothing sounds of Athens, GA native Madeline are very refreshing to my ears with her emotional lyrics and haunting voice. Her sound has been described as a cross between Joni Mitchell, Kimya Dawson and the Carter Family and I’m eager to keep listening to her.
Madeline will be playing a free show at Sprout on Friday, Sept. 3 with Jonathan Vassar and the Speckled Bird. This will be the Speckled Bird’s last local show until their CD release in December.
