Get Ready for Bon Iver

Indie-folk enthusiasts knew there was something to Bon Iver with the release of 2008’s “For Emma, Forever Ago.” And now with his recently released second album “Bon Iver, Bon Iver” getting national acclaim and the band making numerous television appearances, Bon Iver is becoming a household name.

And on top of all this, Richmond’s own Reggie Pace of No BS! Brass and Fight the Big Bull is a part of the band. And anyone who’s seen Pace perform knows the immense talent he has. And, according to my latest River City Rapids column, he’s the real reason to go see Bon Iver this weekend.

Bon Iver (and Reggie Pace) perform at the National on Saturday, July 30.

Bon Iver – Calgary

Bon Iver – Blood Bank

Bon Iver – Skinny Love

Bon Iver – The Wolves (Act I and II)

  1. Oh man, I do wish you had mentioned that The Rosebuds were opening for them. I wanted to go just for the opener. Their latest release is my favorite album of 2011 so far and if you haven’t heard it, you need to. 🙂
