It seems I was too quick to post yesterday about local artists and their Christmas songs. Because no sooner did I post, I managed to hear about two more releases.
Make Phantoms, who just released their new EP “Solitary Never Sleeps,” also released a single for Christmas, which sounds much more like an indie pop song than a holiday classic. You can get the two-song single for free here: makephantoms.bandcamp.com/album/jolly-old-st-nicholas-single
Meanwhile, the musicians at Hope Church put together a Christmas album entitled “Love is Here,” which was produced by Louisiana Territory’s Tyler Crowley. You can pick up the album here: hopechurch.bandcamp.com
Also, check out my RVA Holiday Mixtape over at River City Rapids.
You forgot to mention the Richmond Concert Band plays at Tabernacle Baptist Church – every year! Its a free show. So catch it next year! Usually the third Sunday of every December- before Christmas Day.
