If there was one band that I gushed over last year, it was without a doubt the hypnotic synth rockers Dead Fame. I won’t go into how incredible the group’s music is (just go back into the archives for all the details), but the big news is that the band has officially released its debut EP “Frontiers,” which is already in the running to claim a spot on my Best of 2012 list. (And I definitely called it too)
The band will be celebrating the release “Frontiers” with a party at Balliceaux on Saturday, Feb. 25. DJ Mike Albrecht and DJ Alan Smith of BEARD will be spinning some of the best in post-punk, new wave and dance tunes on vinyl. Expect to be on your feet dancing all night.
The celebration starts at 10 p.m. and a limited number of physical copies of the album will be available.
