Happy Birthday to the Listening Room!

listerning room
The Listening Room concert series turns four years old tonight. Four years and 44 shows have brought countless acts to the Firehouse Theatre’s stage in a beautiful series that just gets better with age.

To celebrate, Shannon Cleary of The Commonwealth of Notions and WRIR 97.3 fm Richmond Independent Radio is curating the evening’s show with performances by

White Laces, Warren Hixson and Way, Shape, or Form. This will be the last White Laces show in town for a few months and they’ll be playing through the new album.

This has to be hands down one of the best concert series in Richmond and if you haven’t been to one in the past four years, make it a habit to get out and see these shows. It’s a great way to be exposed to the music of the city without having to stay up really late (the shows for the most part, start right at 8pm) and in a quiet environment (no dealing with obnoxious assholes who talk during the whole thing).
